Question of the day

In reading the following articles in the papers today, firstly, the comments by PAP's Mr Wong Kan Seng that 'Opposition has done little to benefit Singaporeans'and the follow up article(which incidently was hidden in a corner of the papers with no big font titles or picture unlike the former article) 'Opposition MPs defend their record in Parliament', the first thought that came to mind was

"Can the opposition sue the PAP for defamation?"

Wouldn't it be interesting to see if and how the court will handle it?

What is the likelihood that it is all a big plot/bait so that the PAP can somehow turn it around and counter sue the opposition, driving them to bankruptcy, making them unable to run for elections, and thus getting a clean sweep of all wards?

I love politics :)
